Bach Stradivarious Bb and C Trumpets

Bach

These are the trumpets I play for the majority of the time. I have owned the Bb instrument since around Easter 2000 and the C trumpet since July 2005. The Bach 'Strad' is probably the most widely used Trumpet amongst professional trumpet players world wide.

Yamaha Professional Eb/D Trumpet

Yamaha

This is the trumpet can be tuned in either Eb or D by changing some of the slides. Yamaha make some of the best trumpets in the world. Especially their high Trumpets. I play on the Yamaha 'professional' model. This model is played widely by many across a variety of standards right up to professional players. Yamaha also make another higher model (the 'custom' model).

Scherzer Piccolo Trumpet in Bb/A

no picture yet

The Scherzer pic is probably one one the most beautiful instruments available. It is easy to see why people are drawn to buying one! But it is not just about looks, Scherzer have build a product that blows incredibly well. It has a larger bore than most Piccolos which enables it to project a beautiful sound, particularly on baroque solos

Besson Sovereign Bb Cornet

My cornet is a real classic British banding model. The Sovereign is the most played cornet in the world and has been been for many years. It is a great instrument to play and never gives the player any problems unlike many newer cornets.

Schilke Soprano Cornet

Once again this cornet is the standard amongst the worlds top soprano players. Based upon Schilke's excellent high trumpets yet with an excellent brass band blend to the sound. When combined with the right mouthpiece nothing comes close to the Schilke soprano.

Posthorn

This instrument only has one real purpose, the post horn gallop.

Mouthpieces

The Mouthpieces used the with a Trumpet are crucial and a very individual item. No two people will feel the same about any mouthpiece, choosing the right one is a trumpet players eternal quest and is down to trial and error. I try to stick to a small selection mouthpieces rather than having one for each instrument, this helps with consistency.

Bb and C Trumpets: Bach 1C Gold Plated Rim

Eb and Picollo Trumpets: Bach 7

Cornet: Sparx 3

Soprano Cornet: Bach 7
