Across the Poppy Fields - £10

Across the Poppy Fields was commissioned by Lions Beginner Brass and their Musical Director Chris Thompson to mark the centenary of World War I.
The piece makes use of the 'Last Post' motif throughout beginning with 2 lone players. The piece develops into a hymn in memory of the fallen. As the piece develops and percussion enters a more uplifting feel is created and this can be reflected in the way it is performed. Optional vocal line is included and should be added at the conductor's discretion.
